What is Hospice?
Hospice is a compassionate approach to end-of-life care, providing support and comfort to individuals with terminal illnesses and their loved ones. At Expert Hospice, we embrace the philosophy that each day should be lived to its fullest, focusing on enhancing the quality of life rather than extending it.
A common sentiment we encounter is, “I wish we knew about hospice sooner.”
Expert Hospice is dedicated to delivering comprehensive pain management, emotional support, spiritual care, and bereavement support, recognizing the value of hospice care sooner rather than later. Our care is person-centered, prioritizing dignity, comfort, and quality of life without accelerating or delaying the natural progression of life.
Our experienced team of doctors, nurses, spiritual counselors, social workers, and volunteers focuses on easing the transition from curative to comfort care, managing symptoms to allow patients as much independence and freedom from pain as possible.
A key benefit of choosing Expert Hospice is that patients can spend their final days in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by family. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to ensuring a peaceful, comfortable end-of-life experience, supported by those who care deeply.

Who Is Eligibile For Hospice?
To qualify for hospice care, individuals must fulfill specific criteria. Eligibility for hospice generally requires that a person has a terminal illness with a prognosis of six months or less to live, as assessed by a physician. Additionally, the individual must choose to receive palliative care, focusing on comfort rather than treatments aimed at cure. Common illnesses that often qualify for hospice care include:
Cancer
Dementia
Liver Disease
Stroke (Cerebral Vascular Accident)
Congestive Heart Failure
COPD/Cardiopulmonary Disease
AIDS/HIV
Renal Disease
Neurological Disorders (such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and Huntington’s Disease)
It's important to understand that hospice care can be appropriate for other conditions as well, and eligibility is determined on an individual basis.
